I've heard rumors about another drag bug being built in queensland at the moment, something really extreme and big dollars!!! eg six figures, any ideas? Is that rods? I saw the frame being built at leons a few years ago? the engine I think was done by leons also? with some super gearbox?

Welcome Peter, just wondering what times was dak-a-tak running and what times are you aiming for after the rebuild?

Yep that is Pete's chassis.

Good to see you posting up here Pete, the drag bug is looking sweet...can't wait to see it run down the strip when finished!

It'll be nice to have a few quick street bugs running around brissy in the near future (Rod's of course, Brad's (2110) and mine (2L typeIV) will be on the road in the next few months - definitely for valla).

Thanks!for all the cool comments everyone. My car ran low elevens(11.20,120mph)with 2332cc ,48IDAs.Check out our new Aus VW Mag ! Rebuild reasons, time for a change after ten years plus!To help stop breakage of crown wheel & pinion in gear box(to lower the center line of the car)stop wheel standing.Hope to run high 10ets,fit in to Allmotor , new drag racing class.Car one day might have a Turbo combo for playing around ! The other car in Qld is Micheal Nass, full chassis prostock beetle.car is up to paint stage, with the motor going on the dyno soon(Autocraft 2700cc motor with 58ml carbs) This car will be fast (9.s)on the track.
