Anyone notice in the vid that the track kind of goes downhill. Or is it just me?

If you stand on the start line at Willowbank you would also swear that goes down hill.

Trick of the eye I think plus the run off area goes uphill slightly.

Good point! And standing free held camera angle does'nt help either.

OK, the rules state that a Drag track may only change 13 feet in altitude from start to finish.
At Sydney .. WSID, the construction crew went to a lot of trouble to build the track with exactly 13 feet of altitude change from the start to the finish .
Now it could have gone Up Hill or up and down in several Bumps but they thought that a smooth Even surface was
preferable.
-
WSID was built with Exactly 13 feet fall from start to finish
- complies with rules and gives the Best in the world Times
which is what we want.
-
So Yes it does Go Down Hill = Very Smart..........
-
and the braking section goes up hill to help slow the cars down
