Line lock switch ???
AdrianH - May 3rd, 2004 at 07:24 AM

I need one, the one that came with the kit I have doesnt really fit anywhere. Looking to mount one on the gear stick (its stock). So some sort of clamp on deal. Needs to be a momentary type switch, and relatively small.

Any ideas ??

If you are using a relay to operate the solenoid, and I would recommend you do.
You can get a microswitch from Jaycar or Dick Smith and rubber band it or clamp it to your shifter.
With a rubber band it can be pushed down real low to be easier to hide if need be.

Thanks. I may chrome plate my rubber band for more of a stealth look !!! I also think Ill put a switch on the dash for those times when momentary is not enough...

Are you using it as a drag racing feature or a rear wheel spinner feature?

If you are using it as a wheel spinning option I recommend you do not have a toggle switch to permenantly cut any part of the braking system.

With a release switch you only have to move a finger from your shifter and you will have full braking capacity. If you have a toggle switch, well that is just not a wise thing to have in my opinion. You are left with wheels spinning with momentum and no brakes to stop them.

I have an indicator light right by the speedo. Drag race set up, doesnt see the street much, Ill try a few things out see how it goes.

Toggle would be burnout only. I got the idea off a mopar website.
