took my NA powered 57 out to the wednesday night street meet and pulled a 12.7 at
105.9 through the muffler with fan belt on
my sisters pretty standard buggy ran 16.0s, not to bad for her first time at the track.
adam

Well done Adam.
Did you go the fuel injection route again, or back to carbs?
What capacity is this toy?
Cheers,
James C.
good work, post a couple of slips and I'll add you to the top ET listing.
Adam, received the fax today but I can't read the slips. Can you darken them a bit and resend. Sorry bout that....
this car is my brown 1957 cal look beetle that i"ve had for years, it has a paint job thats about 20 years along with some spun alloy DDS style
wheels. never been hit or rusted
the engines a very mild 2.5 litre type 4 running 48 ida's
its supposed to be my daily ride but its hard to afford enough fuel to run it. i've some cool pictures of it and my green car at launch but i need
lessons on how to post them
hi james hows your weapon comming along
adam d
Adam,
I'm sure someone here can post the pics for you, If you email them to me I can do it, I'm hangin' to see your green car at full launch!!,
That's a great time in the '57 too, was that with slicks?

Adam,
The engine is now coming together well. The options to make the car faster are either to lighten the car, or turn up the boost. I am going to leave
the car the way it is.
The parts I am now worried about is the LSD, axles and CV joints. Something there will give out first I suspect.
Sorry to hear about the gearbox in the green machine. Are you going to make it to the Nationals this year in either the 57 or the turbo? (Assuming
that they have the drags.)
Adam-your getting me turned on with all this talk of Oval's with a big Type 4 hanging out the back-well done with that time-awesome.
Just thinking about which car it is-it's not Big Dennis' old one is it?????
yes its dennis' old car , I'll have to drop around and take him for a ride see if he can pick a difference
hows your t4 powered bug comming along should be quicker than mine
whats the nb go like with the boost hike
The NB is about the same difference there is between black and white-it's unreal.Might have to get you to give it a sqirt down the 400 metres for me to see how good it is.The big bloke would be secretly blown away if you took him for a ride-bet you wouldn't see to much emotion though.Adam-what happened to the Oval you were doing up for Classic Rallies?Merry Xmas to you and Peter and family-will catch up with you early new year when the new ute gets here.
pic didn't work Michaela.
how bout a pic of your car too, in members rides?
still building a car for classic adelaide rally, i'llbe in it for sure next year .its not a oval but a 1500 beetle, navigating for ben this year in
his beetle has me fired up. im turing the green car into a rally car , the ovals goin to be my new turbo street car- its well under way, maybe the
nats at easter but it may be pushing- just a shell at the moment.
yeah Dave i ran slicks for the 12.7 but the car had no bump stops at the time and squated so badly it only used the inside few mills of tyre
also ran 13.0s on very old radials, not even apair, so theirs plenty left in it
well done Adam.
Oh how I love to see those Ovals FLY !
