Hi There, after trying to build a dragster last year (that's another story) I have decided to do a tube car. I have been running a 63 beetle with a quickest of 13.69sec and this is just not enough so the plan is to build a new one using the engine, box and front end with some up grades in the future. Looking round the net there are some really cool budget builds and some of these home built machines are inspiring. Over the last 3 weeks I have got it off the ground and starting to look the part. "Dummkopf" it already has a name

Looks awesome dude.
You might have to tilt the beam back a bit for some caster.

Thanks guys ! Going to mount the gearbox today and finish welding some of the bars that are tacked it.

Looks good dude, looks very narrow down the front were your pedals will be unless you move the seating position over

Hey Ian, Wouldn't i love to have one of those!!! but definitly staying aspriated. Saying that I do need a new set of Carbs 44's or 48's (second hand if someone has a good set?)
I will be needing a couple of things to get this going, so I will put a list up and if i can buy good second hand rather than new will save me some$$
