A search on Youtube for "Install Beetle headliner" or similar will give you a lot of videos showing what to do.

I just had a trimmer fit one for me. There is no way i could have done it by myself.

I thought about it but after watching how long it took an expert im happy i didnt attempt it. I would have ended up destroying my trim, having to buy a new one then paying a trimmer to do it anyway

Is there any near Mudgee that does it? Say in Dubbo, Bathurst etc. Also what would a reasonable price be? TIA.

If i could do mine again, i would say, opt for VERY good headliner glue.

I thought i had the top stuff, expensive cans of permatex headliner and carpet adhesive proved to be no good. After a few months the bloody vinyl started pealing off :td: after all that hard work.

The door pillar hooks for holding the non-perforated vinyl are very delicate too, don't go too trigger happy bending them back.

Can anyone give me a hand or recommend a suitable motor trimmer / installer that could come and help me get in a new, stock perforated headliner in a 67 Type 1 beetle??

I am in Horsley park, western Sydney.

Happy to pay for a good job.

Would have to be a weekend (car is unregistered so can't drive anywhere)
