Seat upholstery foam?
isky - November 9th, 2012 at 05:09 PM

Hi guys,

I'm currently remaking my old 1960 seats. Any idea where abouts in Brisbane i could best source the foam padding that's sewn into them? I went to Clark Rubber today and the closest thing they had was ironing board foam... I bought it anyway but am not sure it will stand the test of time. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

I am not sure if they are still there but Jackson's Foam & Vinyl at 63 Raceview St, Raceview 32811999 might be able to help.

I saw an ad for them ages ago and went in to look. They have lots of general upholstery stuff as well as different types of rubber (lots for cars) and all sorts of things. They were up for sale since I was there so that is why I am not sure if they are still there. Can't hurt to try though.

Good luck

Sounds like the kind of store I'm after! I also need the inner piping cord as well. I did bit of a Googling and can see lots of mention of their Reacview outlet, but also of another Burleigh address. Will call them tomorrow =]
