Hi Rudi,

Cant help you with your problems, but read that there is a future backpac that connects to the camera for view directly from it.

Modified quote for their site - Room For Future Hardware Upgrades

There is a small slot on the left back of the camera. That is what GoPro calls their HERO Bus, a new expansion port that will accept future hardware options called Bakpacs which will expand the HD Hero cameras functionality. Planned for the future is an LCD Bakpac for on camera preview and playback and an extra battery Bakpac for double the battery life. This sounds interesting but that would add to the camera depth so a new protective camera housing may be required to use them.

Rudi ,
The stuttering is due to your computer not the camera. The 1080 HD setting requires significant computer power. Upgrade your video card perhaps.
You will have no problem with stuttering if you playback directly iinto a HDTV.
As for the screen I am sure most people want this style of camera for action sports and have no time to watch a screen as they hit the end of the straight at easterncreek LOL>
Infact there is not even a view finder, however with such a wide angle of view you get everything.
In car chargers are available connect via the USB supplied and are only a few $ and you can film whilst charging.

Thanks for the tip Mitchel always good to replay what youve filmed after the run, especialy when getting used to the new camera, spent a day testing at eastern creek to check out brake points and transmission shift points and equivelent rpm readings ,plus had a few laps with some hi tec race cars looking forward to watching vids, dissapointed when we watched it and there were 3 still shots of me siting in the drivers seat in pit lane, but am now getting used to it,see utube 17 jan .How much for the in car charger and piggyback screen do u have one available please let me know cheers Rudi
