Need help on GTI problem.
The central locking has ceased to work by the remote.
Using the key on drivers door, all locks work.
New batteries in each remote, still not working.
Auto electrcian yesterday tried to fix but no luck.
Any reasonable clues?

When you say works ok by key.
Do you mean all the locks work in unison or just the lock you are using?

Have a bit of a look through your owner's manual. You may have to reset something after changing batteries. I remember something about that with my Audi.

When I use the key in the driver's door, all doors lock or unlock.
I have followed the instruction manual to reset, but no luck.

I assume from your first comment that you have 2 remotes?
