Hi Guys, I was wondering if there is a big demand for well looked after T3 Caravelles. I am considering selling mine(reluctantly) and was wanting feedback re-popularity. Thanks. All input is appreciated

Wouldnt say BIG demand...........well, not like a split

That said - they certainly are appreciated by the well informed
I have one and love it

Certainly the later ones are more saleable, especially those with all the luxury itemspower steering, 2.1L etc etc

It was only 10-15 years ago that T2 Kombis were common on the second-hand market and were pretty cheap - in the mid '90s you could get a really nice one for $5K. Now you'd be looking at two to three times that.

I reckon that T3s now are where T2s were then - a bit under-appreciated and something of a bargain to buy. But I'm sure they will appreciate in the years to come, especially when they start getting harder to find, and people come to realise that they were the last of the rear-engined Volkswagens.

I'd recommend hanging on to yours if at all possible - you might kick yourself in 5-10 years for getting rid of it.
