Help needed

I noticed a noise developing in the rear end of my T3 as I was driving my son to a soccer game. This sound was initially a low grone which seemed to ease as I accelerated.
During the return journey Beerwah to Bli Bli (near Maroochydore) the noise gradually grew worse.
Arriving home I checked engine oil (2.1L engine/auto), automatic transmission fluid. All OK.
Im thinking that a cv joint may be on the way out.
Q DO you think Im on the right track ie cv joints. Is there an easy way to check these, and are they easy to change ie DIY
Im searching for ideas
I also was thinking the Automatic Differential oil could be a problem, but it has not been leaking so Im fairly sure its OK
Finally (yes theres more) would anyone know of any good workshops ,mechanics ie T3 familar on the Sunshine Coast Qld 100k north of Brisbane

CV's usually make a clicking noise when goinground corners

As bizarre said, dead or dying cv's click on corners, Bearings make a consistant deep noise like a set of a noisy tyres but a little louder and is noisy consistantly.
Usually low oil in a gearbox whines, but no harm checking diff oil. can't tell ya what that sounds like, i have only ever had combined diff and transmission 'transaxles'.

Maybe not CVs as I dont have the clicking sound. Will check diff oil 2morrow. I d love it to only be a bearing but will see
