T3 Caravelle
snoggbukker - September 28th, 2011 at 09:02 PM

I got this T3 handed down to me from my parents and I'm keen to make it all nice :)
I'm thinking a respray, get rid of the peeling stripes on the sides, and fix some of the little rust spots in places on it. Also thinking an engine conversion, something with a little more grunt behind it. Eventually carpet and interior and maybe a body kit.

I have recently acquired a mattress made for the T3 off a friend who sadly had to part with their bus

My brown Caravelle was sort of a hand-me-down of my dad as well. I still gave him 1000 buck as far as I can remember, still a bargain but the T3 needed work. I left mine all standard. I like standard cars because I prefer understatement. Insurance is cheaper, much cheaper and the money most blokes burn on shining things up I spend on making things better and more reliable. A new paint job is a good idea, but make sure you watch out for rust and treat it properly before you respray it. There is nothing worse than spending lots of time and money on a paint job only to muck it up a year later with rust repairs that creep up underneath the new paint. Anyway, have fun with tour T3, it is an awesome car to have and never, I mean it, never ever let it go.
