is the forum much slower now?

Was just wondering since all the changes have taken place if the forum is now running slower than it used to?
I have noticed that from my work it takes ages and ages (reminds me of my home dialup b4 i went broadband) to load up the pages and the only way i have been able to increase the speed of pages loading is to restrict the number of posts displayed to 10 per page! (i had it set on 99 originally)

so is it my work that has done something or is the forum slow?

The algorithms for displaying forums, etc have not changed. forumpdisplay.php is MUCH faster than the old one as I restrict the # of posts to 30 days by default.

The new server is 3x faster than the old server and it much less loaded, so basically it must be your work ;)

thanks andrew.... i sorta figured that... i haven't been on the forum at home lately so haven't compared it. but at work its really starting to p*$^ me off. it only seems to be the pages with posts on them that are slow... the main pages with the topics etc are ok most of the time..
Thanks for the feedback.
