Hi all,

Can anyone shed light on why i can login on this forum at work and be already signed in but at home i need to login every time and every 5min of inactivity.
Both systems are very similar and the latest firefox on both.

I have deleted the cookies "aussieveedubbers.com" __UTMZ and __UTMA numerious times, recreated the shortcuts/quick links with and without the "remember me" option ticked.
I'm looking at swapping the "cookies.sqlite" file to test if its in this database file or using the CookieSafe addon.

Hi vw54,
Thanks, but I will still try a few things as it annoys the hell out of me.

Is your internet dropping out or are you shutting down the computer?

Hi Aussie Dubbin,

Neither, but that should not matter, either way if its working correctly or as per the system at work, it should just open the site and be logged in already.

In Firefox go to Tools>Options>Privacy and select the link "remove individual cookies".
This displays the cookies that the site downloads to your system for login information.
Scroll down the list until you can see "aussieveedubbers.com" and click on the arrow to the left. this displays the actual cookie names. There should be 3 - __utmb, __utmz and __utma. This allows the auto login next time you select the shortcut to the forum. My system at home only had 2, __utmz and __utma.
So to get the 3rd one you have to go to the "Main page" (not the forum page) and use the login there. Once this is done you then get the 3 cookies and your short cut to the forum will open the forum as a logged in user. Fixed.!!

Hi vw54 (admin),

Its not quirk, can you confirm this fixed your problem?
I have tested it on multiple systems and can confirm its the issue and this is the fix.

Hi squizy,

Rubbish!
He said "dont worry mine is reversed I am auto logged on at work and have to log on at home every time" so he admits he cant get it working for himself!
No one has supplied any technical answer to this, including yourself, except the solution I posted.

Thanks for finding a solution vman. Nobody had bothered to try and fix the issue before, which is unique to this website (for me).
Cheers
