[WTB] Heavy Duty Sway bars NSW
Pattison - May 17th, 2018 at 09:09 AM

Hey Vdubbers

I'm after heavy duty sway bays for my road buggy that I want take to track days.

Front is Ball joint - not lowered.

Rear is IRS - lowered a bit.

My research suggests 18mm front and 20 to 22mm rear but i'm sure some of you track guy's may have some advice.

Thanks

Rel

U can only buy them in pretty much 19mm-3/4" sizes and they are not adjustable ... If u can weld, just make your own adjustable blade style... I did this for my race car... Used chrome tube but mild steels fine.. And u don't need it thick wall...

Are they adjustable?

Think it is, grab it, they not made anymore

Yes, blade style adjustable. If you are keen I can look it out over the weekend. They mount the the diagonal arms.

Just unearthed a 14.4 mm front bar (probably 14mm without the paint). The paint that is left is orange which suggests it may be an old Kaymac but I have no idea. It will require a bit of work as it is rusty but appears to be quite sound. It would be an upgrade from the original, but not 3/4". Let me know if you are interested
Cheers.......Wayne

I know of a 944 rear bar in Bateau Bay, was offered it but have no use for it. Not sure if it would be of any use. To suit the steel trailing arms.

Thanks for offers.

I'll wait on 555 bug to get back me re the whiteline bar

A bit of (free) advice...if this sway bar is what you are after, buy it - and pay a fair price for it!

If you don't someone else will...

Pattison - June 18th, 2018 at 11:26 AM

OK 150 it is. PM me your mobile. Thanks
