Syngear Razor Blade Drive System Price: 128 AUD
Syngear - January 29th, 2019 at 09:20 PM

- innovative steel belt application
- high strength carbon steel used for belt members punched in Solingen Germany
- belt members fixed by clips installed by hand
- clips made of copper beryllium alloy and coated with black nylon
- pulleys made of cast nylon useable up to 120 degree Celsius
- innovation useable for all low power belt applications
- patented in Europe, USA, Japan and some more countries
- the VW Beetle Engine was just the demonstrator (the system was not specially invented for the VW Beetle Engine)
- useable for type 1 engines with DC Generator (the test engine used this type of generator)
- the belt consumes nearly no deformation energy
- the system operates with a very low pre-load (you can rotate the generator pulley by hand at engine shut down)
- about 10 years of testing to understand the physics of the belt system
- normal grease not useable therefore special grease developed
- easy to install with just two Allen Keys
- set comprises two belts
- 128 AUD low introductory price (15% off) by using discount code LA29SQZ1OY89 including shipping

Stops people puting their fingers in the pulley.

15 bucks for a fan belt is cheap

Some advantages:

- A normal v-belt at maximum load takes about 500 Watt additional power for driving the fan / generator unit of the VW Beetle for overcoming the deformation force.

- The steel belt gives the engine more freedom for speeding up, because the force transfer is smoother than when running a rubber belt.

- The steel belt has no problems with high temperatures.

- No problems of loosing the belt at high engine speed when running tuned engines because very low weigth and therefore low centrifugal force.

- Very low industrial foot print because belt can be assembled by hand.

You could try getting it reviewed in the Australian VW magazine.

Thank you very much for your proposal. I have contacted the magazine.

120 deg Celcius Nylon for pulleys may not be good enough for these aircooled buggers i imagine it gets quite hot in there sometimes.
