WTB Looking for Original VW radio for 1968 beetle
viiking - July 22nd, 2022 at 09:02 AM

Long shot.

Looking for a working Australian radio for my 68. I think they were either AWA or VW of Australia marked radios, but will be corrected.

From memory they might have had round operating buttons below the faceplate.

If someone even has a photo of a fitted one that would be a help.

From memory I have a push button one that we fitted to the 1500 beetles, type 3's etc. Obviously it is from the 1960's and used so it shows some signs of use. If you bare interested I will dig it out next week if possible and test it.

Yes they did at the dealership we fitted VW accessories such as the AWA radio and other items, some of which were the Kamei products from Tooley Imports.
