Hi everyone,
My name is Russell from Bundaberg in Qld 4670.
I have 4 sets of billet alluminium bonnet hinges for sale.

The hinges are CNC machined aircraft grade 8mm aluminium. Also supplied are gas struts, to replace the old springs, and all bolts, washers and mounts required (mostly stainless steel).

No cutting or welding required, simply remove the old hinge and spring and bolt these straight up, The gas strut mounts to the same body lug as the old spring.

This kit greatly enhances the look under the bonnet and is quite visible with the bonnet open.

Will hey fit early beetles, say 1967

These hinges will fit all models except for superbugs and late bugs with the flatter bonnets. So I've been told.

I haven't got round to installing them (only got them today), but hopefully spend an hour or so tomorrow installing them to show everyone.

They look awesome. have u tried to fit them to a superbug? If they could fit I wil buy a pair. Would be nice to have some bling under the bonnet, especially when I drop the kids at school & they get their bags out of the front.

I've just asked a guy in the Biz and he said the hinges change for the later beetles. If anyone can tell me different or agree with that please do! I'll send VVW a msg and see what they say.

after my springs bending inwards with me between the lid & the shell recently, YES! though i dont have the circlips on since i want it to be taken out easily, do you need an original pair to go from? i have a few...

L bugs are completely different though, cant help with that
