KO 527
Menangler - April 5th, 2016 at 01:24 PM

I now own KO 527, bought it from Orange on the weekend.

Registered it yesterday and took it for its first drive in a few years.
The original rims are being sandblasted and will be fitted with new tyres as soon as I find some suitable, I also need to rebuild the standard 1300 engine, does anyone have an F125 country buggy case 4 sale?.

Congrats with the purchase

Is the Caravelle new as well?
Or just something you had stashed away for a rainy day?

That's great, I need one, it is missing, I'll see you at the Nats.

Barry, I have had the van for a couple of years, it's the work horse!!

now I need to find it in the garage pretty sure where it is sitting

So whats special about the engine case

Country buggy engine cases have the oil light in a different position and the number starts with F125#### Not fussed if I can't find one, I have plenty of good 1300 Beetle cases I could use, it would just be nice to find an original.

do you have a pic of the oil light location ??? I have never noticed that before

Menangler - April 15th, 2016 at 07:11 AM

No I don't Dave, cause I don't have the original case, I believe it fits in vertically not in from the side like a Beetle one.

is there a pic in the hand book ?? very unusual

I have a case at home so will check if it is like you say

Thanks for the sump guard Dave.

This is how it looks now with standard wheels and tyres fitted.
