Country Buggy KO775
CB CRAIG - March 30th, 2008 at 07:05 PM

Hi Guys,
I spent a year on & off getting this buggy to roadworthy condition & rego for the road.It is going to be a long term project in which i have been working on all the mechanics and will recondition the body later.I drive it to work as much as i can(weather permitting,no roof yet.)This forum is great as we can share info between each other,as when i started i spent a lot time emailing & talking to Bill Moore on the phone, who i cant thank enough for his time and knowledge.

geez the bodywork looks fine as it is !!

CB CRAIG - March 30th, 2008 at 07:58 PM

Hi Craig,
There are quite a few dents and scratches in the body & the floor that the photos dont show.Maybe in a year or two i will dismantle it like you are doing and repaint it but in the meanwhile i am having too much fun running around in it.
Craig.

Hey, that's me in the VW shirt! That was at dubs by the pub, it was obviously a serious conversation I was having based on the expression on my face. This buggy was a really good example, and Craig is a nice bloke. I had a chat to him about my CB resto in the making.

I'll try to blank out your face next time I take a pic Mike.........:lol:

BrisDubba - March 30th, 2008 at 11:40 PM

I read the text and was scrolling down and when I saw the pink photo I thought - geez he drives that to work.. it took a few secs before I kept scrolling and was instantly relieved.

Mate - looks good - nice and simple heh.

My buggy is stored in the Gabba if ever you wanna pop past for a visit.

Mike - how about some progress shots, of does it look the same as when it rolled off the trailer. I know you had a few other projects ahead of it. Like mum used to say - you cant just watch all the time...

Hey Craig,

Great to see the photos.

Did you see the ad in Saturday's Courier Mail for what as was described as a VW Country? I meant to ring and forgot.

When are we going for Brisbane CB run?

regards

Robert

CB CRAIG - March 31st, 2008 at 08:09 PM

Worked for me, what a finely proportioned machine. I'd compare a CB to a DB9, not quiet as fast but better looking!:dork:

Rob,
Thanks for fixing the link to your pics.
Works fine now, even over the curvature of the earth, from here in the US!
That is a great looking CB you have.
:tu:
Would love to see more pics......details and different angle shots.
Start your own CB thread and include all the specifics.

Tell us about the paint job.......looks like a beach camo job to me.
The soft top and side curtains are primo looking too.
Since I assume the soft top and side curtains aren't OEM VW items, where did you have them done.....who fabricated them?
They did a super job!
