Well after searching for a Country Buggy for a few years, I've finally got my hands on one, and its one I've know about for about 6 years.
Thanks heaps Mr M.

BrisDubba - January 31st, 2009 at 03:31 PM

I remember posting that for sale on here ages ago from a bloke at Wynnum and then someone on here bought it. Sure looked better back then..

But good on ya, will it be ready for Dubs by the Pie

Yeah Michael bought it from Wynnum back around 2002 I think.... Its actually not too bad, has had one heater channel replaced, and has a new one to go in the other side. Has a soft top for it, as well as the back seat and the flat tray area as well.

I have a couple of buggy projects before this one, but it will sit in the back of the shed ready for a rebuild

Yep I remember getting an abusive message from someone as I was only new to the forum and they asked me to send some details about it. I didnt know about the private message thing and posted it in the general section for all to see and Michael snapped it up.

So the question is, do I keep the camo paint job, or repaint it in the original Beige?

cool keep us up to date on progress :D

BrisDubba - January 31st, 2009 at 07:21 PM

What happened to the pan and running gear, I thought it had the original gear - but it has been a while..

Good that it has the original steering wheel.

I am a fan of the beige.

11CAB - January 31st, 2009 at 07:51 PM

It does have the original running gear, but I only had the box trailer to bring it home, so will have to do it in two trips.

Congratulations Graham!!!
:tu:
This one, the body anyway, doesn't look bad at all from your few pics.
I don't note much rust and the panels appear to be pretty straight.
Looks like the pans may need some attention,
I think you have a decent foundation to work from.
I get t kick out of the stories that evolve from all the searching for CBs from all of you and sense going to collect your finds is a real adventure.
Sounds like fun!

I'm curious as to what the "H" logo with the sword next to the left headlight is all about
Anyone have a clue or info about that artwork?

Please keep us informed of your progress........oh and as always...just what you ask of everyone else.................give us MORE PICS!!!
:tu:

Regards,
Steve

The floorpan it was sitting on is NOT the floorpan that came with the buggy.... I'm going back to collect the proper floorpan that has the correct running gear.

Yeah rust wise the heater channels are the worst of it. There is some rust along the front edge of the bonnet, but otherwise its a great start.

Thats good to see that you got one Graham:smilegrin:.As BrisDubba said go the beige colour if that is what the original color was.See you at Dubs at the Pie.
Cheers Craig.

Looks like a great score Graham, sounds like you don't need to find many parts etc. Just the time to it. LOL
Be sure to post pictures and updates in the members Cb section to keep us all up to date with your progress.

I'm still curious about that military type symbol on the front and rear.

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff127/ztnoo/Graham1.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff127/ztnoo/Graham2a.jpg

Anyone have any idea if this is just a pseudo logo or does it have real significance?

Regards,
Steve

" H " with the simple vertical bar was German military symbol for Howitzers, this specific symbol is not published anywhere, but I'll keep looking...
