CB Rubbers ready to post out !!!!!!
BUGBOY - November 19th, 2009 at 04:28 PM

Ok , Today I contacted head office of Clark Rubber and they where happy enough to look back into old files and fine the information for the rubbers that they made for Country buggies.

They can supply front bonnet and rear engine compartment and also windscreen rubbers.

They are going to contact me with a price for each unit ,so I was wondering does anyone need any of them?

I will list the price as soon as I know them and then I will arrange to have them done.

Nathan

No we are talking about the windscreen seal rubber.

BUGBOY - November 25th, 2009 at 11:42 AM

Lastest update, looks like we are able to get a cheaper rate on the rubbers depending on the amount wanted.

The window rubbers at this stage are $125 and the others look to be about $110 each

if we have a few interested they will better the price so if you can let me know what your wanting i'll put it to them for a better price.

I would appreciate it if you could add a windscreen rubber to the order for me.
Thanks.

ArtyP - November 29th, 2009 at 03:46 PM

Regards those rubbers I have checked my windscreen and the rubber looks ok but if you have ordered them thats alright I will take it I will also need the rubber that goes under the screen to seal it between the body it looks like a simple one though . And the rubber seal around the motor are they standard VW or can anyone tell me where to get one I have just pulled my buggy out of the shed under 10 years of junk and am finding some things it needs

11CAB - November 29th, 2009 at 06:19 PM

OK, I'm still confused..... the windscreen seal, is that the one that holds the glass into the frame? Is it 4 seperate pieces or one piece? Also can we get these from our local Clark Rubber, or will they need to be sent up from Melbourne?

CB CRAIG - November 30th, 2009 at 05:16 AM

Hi Graham,
the Windscreen Rubber is the one that holds the glass to the frame and it is one piece. You can order the rubbers from your local Clark Rubber Store but you have to wait a few days for it to come from were it is made. These are the part number and price from 2007 which if Nathan can buy in bulk should get a better price.
Boot - 225.053 - $79.95.
Bonnet - 225.054 - $79.95.
Windscreen- 218.834 - $139.00.
Cheers Craig.

Thats correct Craig, prices have gone up a bit since then but i'm hoping to get one batch done. This should cut the cost as they have to make them ,so it should work out a bit cheaper if they know they have a few to do.

I'm looking to get the price at the end of this week with what number we come up with.

Craig Torrens - December 11th, 2009 at 04:13 PM

Nathan,

Good stuff in getting this finalised. There should be some happy fellow buggers who dont need to worry about the rubbers aspect.
