Hello all. I am looking at selling my 66 beetle with a 1500 engine. Just wondering what it may be worth
Cheers Gary

Gary
Main thing is rust
If it is original rust free pan and body, good original trim and mechanicals - $10k to the right buyer

If it is a shiny paint job on bondo - $2k if your lucky

5k sounds good to me

For me in my own personal opinion, I would say between $10-$15K if, and I say if. It comes with a roadworthy. The paint job has some documented proof, photo's etc, and the engine is real good, and also has some documented proof of rebuild etc.

If it is shiny on top only, and the engine goes good, then it may only fetch $5-8K

I am looking for another car at the moment, I'm in NSW and paying a high end price for a car interstate is something I will never do again.
My point is, in South Oz your car may be registerable and it looks a treat, and when I lived there you did not need yearly inspections, great if you're on a budget, and if the buyer is local....no sweat!
Interstate for a potential buyer however, it may need a blue slip and extra expense to get on the road, so the amount offered may be at the low end of the scale.
