tail light fun- 1970 bug
mannonsavage - April 6th, 2008 at 06:42 PM

hey everyone!

so, weve just bought our 3rd vdub, a nice rust free 1600 l bug- only to discover, the tail lights wont work! ive had a look at the fuses, which all seem fine, so i had a look in the engine bay to discover--- a an interesting home wiring job. does any one know if its at all possible to buy the wiring as a a 'plug n play' or do i have to whip the solder out and figure this mess out?

quickly, we havent had it 3 days and my wife already wants the bug gone!!

thanks!

buy a crimping tool, much easier to fix if you get the wires hooked up wrong

ah well, time to get the solder out of retirement then.....
having and inch thick of grease on everything except the lump should make this quite a messy job......:spin:
