Over the past weekend I stripped the kombi that I picked up last month and as usual found a few hidden surprises, from half empty back of wizz to more rust than I expected, the wizz was flushed and the rust has been cut out have completed the rust repairs to the roof, side and rear windows and will tackle the hockey sticks and windscreen this Friday night.
Keep it up!
Good job mate. We've had ours 2 1/2 years and haven't even got the shed built over it yet!
Inspiration like you and adlbeetle66 is great.
That front mount reminds me of the Tyre carrier I took off ours...
How do I post further pics on this thread?

All the external rust now done, just have to complete the windscreen area, I'm glad that's done, now to choose a colour.
Dash is out windscreen area done, found more rust in the rear of the front wheel arches, all cut, treated, patches cut ready for welding.
I'm dreading rewiring the dash but it had to come out.
Found the diecast ignition surround was broken so will have to source a new one, any body got one?
Should be ready for paint in the next month,
I have decided on a turbo Subi conversion rather than the ea81, sourced a motor, wiring and adaptor plate, now contemplating should the rad be in the
engine bay or underneath!
Hopefully I will drop the pop top off to Steve the Fiberglass Wizard during the week so he can make it look new again.
Fun, fun,fun.
Hi nice work being done
I would personally fit the rad under the bus unless it hangs too low
That way it frees up the engine bay of hot air and if u ever what to fit a/c,the condenser can be fitted in the engine bay
Where is the air cleaner pick up if the rads are in the engine bay?
What engine did u go for ?
