Wanted: Type 3 Steel Wheel
Fossil - June 28th, 2017 at 07:08 PM

Am looking for a spare wheel for my 1972 Type 3 - believe it would be a 4.5Jx15" with 4x130 Stud Pattern ...... 4.5Jx15" is correct but PCD unsure of but has to be close.

Reason is just put new tyres on 205 65R/15 Hankook K425 and the spare had a Keyfang LT on it = tyre popped to newer tyre on and the rust dust said it all and confirmed it was rust central around the valve hole.

Any one in the Brisbane area with one let me know - not sure if same as a Beetle in regards to offset.

Thanks
Bert

I know this is in southern NSW but it might be a last resort for your wheels.

I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I come up with anything. Can always throw it in the ute when I head north next, just as long as you don't get a flat in the mean time.
The old one can't be repaired?

thanks Terry, old one I wouldn't trust and repair not an option even as a spare - holding air atm and if needed to be used it'd be only a short distance adn hopefully @ low speed.

Looks like cbus may have found one for me -mis-typed 14" instead of 15" when I sent him details :dork::?:

I think the pcd on T three is about 1"greater than bug wheels....so bug wheels rub on the notch etc springs at the front
can check, when u need what I have in my 6 or 7 some v gd, cond with ok tyres btw
cn drop it by some time, Bert.
