CB Windscreen frames - under $100
BrisDubba - January 4th, 2008 at 08:51 PM

Heh all,

Am going to see my mate next week who folded up a new windscreen frame for my old buggy. He doesnt weld them together, just basically farbicates the 6 or so pieces and you just weld it together and add the knobs (that windscreen rests on when in lowered position) and also the brackets that it pivots on. It includes the lip for the hood to latch to and the pieces to retain the windscreen.

I know John does a great one on here in stainless and I am not fooling myself to think that they are the same quality but the last one I got made was only about $60 from memory and you wouldn't pick it as being non original.

I am already getting two made, just seeing if anyone else is interested. I will post some pics when he is finished, but he is still on holidays so it may be a week or two.

Cheers

Peter

Pete did this back in January and since it is now September and he no longer has a CB I think you will find they are no longer on offer / availible.

ztnoo - October 1st, 2008 at 11:02 AM

10-4 (affirmative)
i.e. product or offer no longer available.

Thanks Brad.

Steve

I see seven guys interested in the windscreen frame. If all of you are still in it, I can make a batch . Frames will be completely finished, / in mild steel /, but pivot brackets not welded. That needs to be done individually to achieve good fit.
The price for the frame is $ 645.0 , if made in batch of seven.
Another option is to supply parts only and assembly is up to you...that would cost $ 366.0 per set.

MikeM - October 14th, 2008 at 03:46 PM

That's allot different to "under $100" as per the first post.

cb john - October 14th, 2008 at 04:07 PM

You're not wrong.....just to have material delivered is $ 55.0.....not to say, that original offer did not include assembly, pivot brackets and standoffs.
