Moving to Qld .Rego ????
I'm moving to Qld in a few months and am wanting to know how rego will go on my Porsche kitcar. It is registered as Homemade in NSW . Will it be
a hassle to register up there ? What will they register it as ?

Where abouts are you moving to?
Andrew should be able to answer your questions relatively shortly. He is about to go thru the same process with Kevin's Tow'd.

Just get to know the local cop in Kenilworth and the local mechanic and i don't think you will have any problems getting it registered.
you'll probably have to go to Gympie anyhow to do it all
Drink and drive your a bloody idiot!!! make it home you'r a legend !!!!

Rules
There us a legislative agreement between states that clearly outlines what the go is. Basically if you have a vehicle which is fully registered in one
state then it can be transferred to full registration in another state as long as it passes the designated inspection for transfer. In Queensland’s
case this is a Roadworthy Inspection. You simply rock up with the vehicle and proof of current / previous registration. You get your inspection from
the man in the Inspection Station and take all your papers to Dept of Transport. They will then bring it onto their computer system. You car will
become a Kit car on their system at a guess.
It is a pretty easy thing to do, however’ idiots you may meet along the way will complicate it as much as possible. Do not listen to them they are
giving you incorrect advice.
I will be home later this month and fully back on the ground in late November / early December. If you have any grief let me know and I will help you
sort it out.
In answer to your next potential question, I am certain and have done it personally with several vehicles. We use to launder mods by registering them
in NSW then driving back to QLD and transferring the rego over. Things such as spring overs, shackle reversals and other suspension modes which are
not allowed under any circumstances in QLD. I know people who are still doing this.
Anyway good to hear to are coming up to Gods Country. I hope you are bringing your buggy collection with you.

Should be up by Christmas . Am renting a place from 26th November near Kenilworth and am leaving my Manx up there after the school holidays in a
couple of weeks , so might get up for the trip at the end of November all going well. Both the buggy and the porsche are due for rego in the next
couple of months so I will have until next October to change them over.

Mark, If you Need Help?
Hey Mark,
If you get stuck and need a home for the Porsche or the Buggy, I am some where around halfway(Springwood,Qld), you could stick it on a truck to here
and pick it up whenever(This year at least).
Cheers
Darryl
