window seals - Fitting Chrome inserts
Whats the best and Easiest way to install chrome to rubber for windows.
Is there a tool I can make ?
Whats the best method? I have bought Wolfsburg rubbers for my windows, using soap and trying my best to pry the old chrome in . I am firstly having
trouble with getting thr rubbers to stay in the glass insert. I have researched you tube for directions etc. and have practised.
What does everyone at home do?
Help before I bend or brake something
Exhausted and frustrated.

I presume You mean the aluminium strips around the windscreen rear window and rear side windows.
they bend very easily and are extremely difficult to fit unless You know how..
My Son has fitted many of these but I have always used the rubbers with out any trim ...
it would have been easier if You could fit the trim after fitting the windows but You can't..
there must be a trick to it...
Just imagine fitting those to NEW Beetles in the factory....
every day.... I would love to see video of that happening in the factory.. just get it finished and the next car is ready..lol

If you look at it as fitting the seal to the trim rather than the other way round it's incredibly easy.
Fit the seal to the glass first then open the channel the trim sits in and drop the trim into it.
Will take 5 mins per piece. No lubrication required.

Caulking gun nozzel and some fat ignition wire, feed the wire thru the caulking nozzel into the chrome groove in the rubber all round, the rubber
should lift a little, sit the chrome on the raised bit of the groove and remove the inserted wire whilst pushing the trim in.
