Empi HPMX
Ebay has some EMPI Dual 40 HPMX carb kits for sale...
Firstly, is there anywhere locally to get these? I've read some older threads and Empi seemed to get some hate. SO, are these any good, or should I
save some more cash and get some Webers maybe?

Just did a quote through CIP1 and your carby kit is $668.87 US Dollars to my door in Adelaide using FedEx.
CIP1 is very quick with postage too.My wife has 40mm HPMXs on her beetle and they run okay out of the box on her 1916cc.They do require a re-jet
though as they are rich at idle.
This is something I factored in weather I bought HPMXs or Italian IDFs. Are these for the Kombi?..What sort of mods have you done to the engine?.They
may be overkill for your application?.Im sure guys on here can recommend other options that work well too..Good luck with modding either way..

I don't recommend them to my customers as I have had manufacturing faults with a few sets in the past, so could be a lottery if they work. Webers are
what I do recommend, all new Webers are made in Spain these days.
Either way, 40's are fine for a stock 2 litre bus engine.

Thanks Guys... That CIP1 is a good site, I had never heard of it before
I'm still not 100% sure what I want to do with my engine yet, just throwing some ideas around and trying to work out some pricing.
