My Daily driver T3 GL 2.1
After having a number of VW's over the year's I've grown a liking for the T3. The first one being a 82 Aircooled, used this as a daily for a few
year's until it had a valve drop in one of the head's, decided to park it for while, did some bodywork on it, fitted a Lexus 4ltr quad cam V8 in the
back of it but never finished it due to lack of fund's and a job change.
One of the reasons I backed of on the 82 was I thought this conversion may work better in a later model, and a Auto as I will be using this as a tow
car for a drag car in the build. So I sold the 82 and have kept the V8 and may fit it to the 91 (pictured).
First pic was the day I picked it up, since then I've been making a few change's.

Thank's guy's, yep have alway's preferred the twin round head light, as far as the ride high I'm getting closer to where I want it, their a bit
tricky in the front to get right. I've got a set 17in BRM's about to go on, so won't be touching the suspension again until they are on.
Matt, I miss my bus if I have to do freeway testing on a customer's car for 1 or 2 day's, I'm hangin to get back in this, I have loved some of the
Bug's or Ghia I've had but there's just something about it.
Now... what was I doing again

So when they are up the right way here, everyone else gets them upside down ??? Or do you have a Pobjoy computer Dave, cause that would explain your
picture's being upside down.

Nice thing. They're a great drive. How good's the Auto huh? Smooth as. What's the offset on the BRM's? Hard to get 17's that'll work up front.

Yer the Auto is so smooth most of the time you don't even feel the gear change's
The BRM's are from Flat 4 in Japan, they are 17 x 7 in, PCD is 5 x 100, offset I can't remember will check tomorrow n let you know, rim's n
tyre's are at work. Have had to open up the back of the centre hole, and have had rim n tyre offered up to a disc n drum and all good front n back
they clear the guard's n suspension.
The rim's are meant for the New Beetle.
Have already had the new stud pattern drilled in a new pr of disc's n rear flange's n drum's. Will post up some pic's in less than a week when
there on.

Have seen these handles used for a lot of different uses in the Berg work shop, on all type's of machines, but I don't think they thought of the
auto possibility.
Have got the button working proper for the locking of gear's as a auto should.

Got the BRM's on the rear on Friday, front's this week sometime.
65busser the offset was 40, work's great with a 235/50 17" on the rear the sliding door misses by about 15mm. Front's I have fitted 225/50 17".
