Was at work at the time checking my phone regularly trying to make my final decision whether to leave or not .
Drove the rat yesterday here in Brissy and am almost glad I didn't leave as that drivers race seat definitely needs some padding before sitting in it
for 12 hours to Sydney plus those little hammers in my motor are getting louder
Don't let body work get in the way of real suspension travel

I found out after leaving work early (that never happens) and getting to Sydney (3 1/2 hour drive from Canberra) checked into the hotel, found out at
5:30 just before joining the pizza cruise.
Cruise was still good, Deano puts on a good event. VWMA Craig was there too. I feel for the people who travelled further than me. It was a wise
decision to cancel the drags, ended up pissing down in Sydney all Sunday. There are drags next w/e and a tentitive date of 1/6/13 for the Sydney
event.
Bit of a bummer, but we cannot control the weather and the cancellation was a good call.

Negative , No , just saying in most cases it may not be on .
Great to see that Sydney track will step up for a rerun event .
My car is all ready to go and I had entered , the best thing is we all can get out to the track and test .
Why don't we all try to get other racers out for the next one ( Freestone , Trent , Keegan , ect ) and beat the past entry numbers .

This date is not confirmed yet - still in negotiations, and another possible date in May has now been opened up. Once I clear my desk, email inbox and
clean the mud off my truck, I will have a definite date by the end of this week.

Not that the date will be able to suit everyone, but I have my fingers crossed for some time in May prior to the 31st as that is the date a group of
us leave to head to the US for the VW classic etc etc. We were looking forward to having a trade stand and supporting the event as usual, so hoping to
do the same if the dates work out. I totally understand though if June works better for everyone.

On a brighter note..... I had a blast hanging out with Ben and his family, and the various crew from down Woolongong way.... And it was also great to
catch up with all those who made the trip out to Sydney, and to all the locals I caught up with too.
