WTB L or S Bug to build with my boys(car found)

Looking for a bug to build with my boys for use as a track day car/development project. Live on NSW Central Coast but can arrange car trailer.

Looking to spend under $1000 if possible.

Anything around?

The curved screen is an L Bug from 1974 with the spare wheel laying flat in the front under the bonnet and with a McPherson strut front end.

there just as much rust in that CURVE screen as the flat screen

Stop prasing yr great L bugs not worth it

the 1500 shell 68 69 70 n 76 are about 200 kilos lighter than those great aero dynamic L bugs unless u fit a subbie engine

If you can find the money for a 75 model, it has rack and pinion steering and a few other changes that make it a better car to modify.

200 kilos of bullshite there, strut cars have much more tunable suspension and if its a track car there is a heap of weight to be saved
