Type 3 Seats

I purchased a '73 Squareback last week and am pretty excited. It's in good enough condition for a daily driver which is what I'm going to be using it for. It does need one urgent repair - the driver's seat is completely shot. The cushion is useless, there's a rip in the vinyl and the mechanism to move the seat forward is broken (I'm having to perch on the end of the seat to drive it at the moment!).

Does anyone have any recommendations of what to do? Unfortunately I don't have the technical knowledge to do the repairs myself and I do need to have it done as soon as possible and it's pretty uncomfortable to drive right now. My brother has suggested putting in new seats (eg some secondhand mx5 seats or similar, luckily will be visiting him a couple of weeks with the car so he can do the installation) but I'm not so keen as I'd rather keep the car as original as possible. Can anyone recommend someone to do the restoration? I'm in Sydney. Or any other ideas?

Thanks in advance! I'll try to post some photos some time too

Your brother needs to be shot for suggesting something so nasty, lol!

Post up a wanted thread in the For Sale section with the year model of your square and if you are after a particular coloured seat to match the current interior.

It's an easy fix to bolt in another late type 3 seat for your square, im sure someone can help out.

Thanks. Am I better off just getting a replacement seat rather than repairing the existing one? I've managed to get the seat moving forward and back which is good, and on closer inspection the vinyl could probably just be stitched right back up. It would probably only need a new cushion.
