1970 Bug /Superbug


Hey just purchased this for my mum as she owned one in her teens and wanted one again , is it a bug or superbug all the info on here tells me its just a bug? or am i wrong

Yeah - standard bug, aka beam bug.

Going by the fuel filler door most likely Aussie made 1500 Beetle.

Superbugs didn't start till 1971.

Big window, fuel flap, no crescent moon vents would make me think about 1970 Beetle 1500

Some 70s were also 1300 but that one is either 69 or 70.

A 69 will have levers under either side of the dash for the front heater outlets, 70 will have them on the actual heater outlet
