Moving to Perth
Anyone been across the Nullabor lately as I will be taking the bug, need to know what petrol prices are these days. Last time I did it it was 12 years
ago. Yeah so in for a big one come the end of May. ( due to redundancy from work ).

Hope you've for deep pockets then, well over $2 and limited servo's along the way. Might have to also wait for them to open them up when you arrive
as they are often locked and only sell Opal petrol if you don't drive a diesel.
Many fiends have put their cars on the train and never had a problem.

I did it in the wench back in 2011, plenty of petrol though best to fill up each end and carry a jerry if you want to save a few $, great drive and
IT'S FLAT !  so it's easy on the car, I found the
best prices both on the way over and a couple of months latter on the way back to be at Norsman (at the older run down looking outlet on the edge of
town) and at Nundroo Road House though things may have changed since then, it was my first trip over and the little standard 1600 TP did it fine, road
is good all the way, only thing I found a worry with was bloody great 4WD's towing bloody huge vans bigger than my house who didn't like my 95 - 100
kph speed so they were overtaking me at 140 + kinda scary in a little buggy towing an even smaller trailer.

Ummm if they are only selling opal I would be surprised.... Opal usually only goes into the really remote areas with sniffing problems.....
Being a heavily trucked road, there are plenty of large servos on the route (which you already know if you have driven it), they are just a fair
distance (300km or so) apart.....

I thought there was only one way across the Nullarbour unless you are meaning useing the Anne Beadell Highway (and you need a bloody good 4X if you go
that way), what do you mean by depending on which rout you take?

Ha Ha, if you mean how long, then all I can say is it's a f.......n long way, with one straight stretch, definatly NO bends or curves, of 146.6 km,
at the end there is a yellow sign to show that the road turns right, just in case you have dozed off, then you can't see the end of the next straight
stretch, buggered if I know how long that is.

here's one that didnt get damage. Perhaps you are talking about general rail freight but I sent it with the Indian Pacific. competitive $, and as
quick as anything else. Pick it up at East Perth passenger terminal. Recommended.

Indian Pacific was what I was getting at. Never heard a complain from all I know up have used it.

Hey Newt, off topic - i used to live in kal and when my family left we had to leave a couple of dubs behind and I always wondered what happened to
them...
Two splitty kombis, one white with ripples down both sides, one blue straight but rusty, both went to the tip as we couldn't find buyers.... Probably
crushed now I guess ?
Other one was an oval baja with splitty reduction box - unpainted and unfinished - this was sold to a bloke behind the south kal primary who owned a
nice XW falcon...
Would be great to know if any of them ar still floating around.
