Brake line flaring tool
Can someone post a link to what flaring tool I need for new brake lines please? Is it called double flaring?

I have never found a decent tool to do the ''bubble flare'', so can't really help except to tell you it's not a double flare

There are a few types of double flaring tools. Cheap tools usually are prone to creating poor flares that are off centre or uneven. We use a Hand
lever type with dial in dies. Great for doing flares on the bench with the tool in the vice. There are portable types that can be used on the car
based on screw dies or hammer dies. The best ones on the car are with hydraulic dies.
Basically a Screw type kit will cost about $50, but I would not guarantee no leaks. Can be used on the car. Cannot be used for stainless steel
lines.
A lever type with dial in die will cost about $500. Can be used for much cleaner, consistent, quicker and easier flares. Can be used with stainless
steel lines. Needs to be used on the bench
A search on ebay for brake flare tool kit should give results showing pictures.

The one we use at work with the lever die press makes perfect bubble flares. It was $1200, so quality tools are expected to work well.

If ya send me the lengths of each pipe I can make them from kunifer and flare them in my Sykes Pickevant professional flaring tool
