My new whiz-bang engine trolly
I found myself stuck with the prospect of moving my type 1 motor around the shed on my own and had to come up with something quick...

It is made from an oxy-welding trolly and a type 3 engine cover!! :o
It even makes a nice storage trolley, if I could only find some space under a bench!!

Great minds must think alike
Hey Col, Dad and I had the same idea except we used a bag-trolley. Did you use yours to get the motor in and out of the engine bay as well? Wer just
raised and lowered the beetle accordingly until we could let the engine straight onto the trolley (which was horizontal) and then just pull it out.
They work great! I think they even have more class than a trolley-jack or proper engine trolley as well! :thumb |

No I didn't use it to take the engine out as I wasn't home at the time, but I used it as a ramp to slide the engine out of the kombi and
then to wheel the engine into my shed. The engine will stay on the trolley until I find a use for the engine or get some tanks for the oxy, whichever
comes first.
