I'm in as usual with Jezebel, plus there's two guys running the club car.

Noel unfortunately can't make it with his beetle, but great to have you along Lou boosting the Volksy numbers !!!

really looking forward to it as it will be the first event where the car is running with both turbos so should be pretty exciting! plan on arriving Sat morning and camping the night so should be able to get a few decent runs in. hope the weather is fine that weekend.

I`d like to take my buggy but the last hillclimb at Grafton my diff became an open diff :-( & my tyres were a little hard (4-ish years old)

so i`m setting up a whole new plate-type LSdiff & cradle to suit & will have to wait till i can afford new tyres

but i might come for a watch

Slippery first day as the track was pretty wet in the morning. Had a spin off onto the grass on my first run luckily no damage. Had five runs but the track was getting worse as the rain arrived around 2pm. The club tasty had an off on its first run and bent the front end and steering so it was put on the trailer to fight another day. Staying at the track tonight so early start tomorrow and hopefully a dry day.

didn't get any go-pro action all weekend due to a technical problem, (no batteries in the camera!!) but one of the regular photographes did get my first run on the Saturday.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRoDEtrLpJ8

Struggled all weekend to get the car to turn into the tight corners, possibly driver skill related, but apart from that would welcome any suggestions to get it turning in better.

For starters I am going to soften up the front sway bar and add a bit more camber and see how that goes at my next outing which will be Lakeside on the 17th of August seeing as I can't get to Leyburn due to a family commitment on the Sunday 18th.....

Good seeing you there, and sorry didn't spend ore time what with some of the other dramas going on with the Fasty.

Watching video there it looks to me not so much understeer, but just a straight lack of lock perhaps ???

yea, kept going into 4th from 1st.... I adjusted the gear lever after a couple of misses and the last run was better. Still feels like a have a bit too much movement so will have a fiddle with it before the next outing.

well, while we're on the subject....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyL55ZuJJow

this was about 10 minutes after my run and the track was very slippery up around the top as it doesn't get much sunlight and it was still very damp from the night before.....

Amassingly the boys got the car back to the track for the last run of the day on Sunday so well done to them.
