Tail light size for 70-72 beetle two types?

Hi,

I have bought some tail lights off a guy in the states who had them listed for a 71-72 beetle, well they arrived and they are some what larger. If I wanted to order US spec tail light lenses for my '71 super what year model would match ?

68-70.

US got bigger ones for 71-72 but Aus and Europe kept the same size 68-72
