My Cars the 58 / 54 / 67 / 65 T34 NEW PICS AND VIDEO
OK, should have put pics up a long time ago, but better late than never, i guess,
My 58 beetle: I am 1/2 through a vintage speed engine rebuild for this car the new motor will be a 1297cc 36hp motor with an AMR300 super charger.
Will put a build thread once i have a bit more done and some of the machining photos sorted out. I also have recently just picked up a 2 fold goldie
sunroof clip for it, so we will graft that in while the motor is out.
My 54 ( project ) I have a VW sunroofs 3 fold to graft in, split dash and rear window clip might also get grafted into the car as well. It will
have another Vintage speed super charged motor around the 1602cc size range (74ml crank / 83 P&B) ... in the process of collecting bits right
now, will start the body work after christmas this year.
My 67 standard: Just bought this recently off Paul Roberts in Adelaide, i am flying back to SA this weekend and a group of us will be getting stuck
in to the car over beers and BBQ at a mates place in Adelaide to get as much of it finished off so i can then look at getting back over to Sydney.
this is how it started:
this is it today:
and this is my Razor:
I bought this eairlier this year from Lee Hedges in the USA, its a fully documented under 30K mile car, i am the fourth owner and the car is mint.
It was exported out of NSW to the USA in 2002, and it has seen no road use since then, car has been freshened up by Lee Hedges for the owner ( a car
collecter by the name of Jon House), i am expecting the car to arrive back in Sydney in the next couple of months aftre a few small things are taken
care of by Lee Hedges (t34 world).
Anyway, that it... ill keep more pics comming as thing progress and i will start a new thread for the 36hp motor build.
cheers,
Finn

Elanora Heights is not too far from me - I'm back in the family home in Davidson for the time being while I'm house-hunting.
Great collection!

Great collection, love the vintage speed slant you have/are taking with your Beetles!
Good job on locating a 3 fold sunroof as well, the golden egg!! Always through about putting one in my early oval but lack of availability and
hesitance in cutting the roof has precluded!
Cheers

" dont ruin the 54 " ? i hear that a lot, but at the end of the day its just an oval, not the holy grail and there are plenty of 54's out there
still. and i would like to think i "dont ruin" cars.
But i hear what you are saying ...... : )

But shit Finn, you have to agree it is a pretty clean 54.
The one that got away as they say.
Hope you are well mate,

Hi Heath, Yeah it is one of the straightest and rust free 54's I have ever seen, that's why I said that "maybe" the split stuff might go in to
it, this one, might be too good to change, but anyway I take the car, it is getting the 3 fold grafted in, but at the end of the day it might stay a
oval.... only time will tell.
Back in Adealide this week end , here finishing the green 67, got a lot done yesterday, hoping to have it driving and stopping today. i'll put up
some pic's tomorrow.
Thanks to everybody who turned up yesterday to help on the car.

SO it was a big weekend on the 67 beetle....
flew into Adelaide on friday night, then spent Saturday and Sunday working on the car.
Just want to thank the following people for all their help over the week end: Aaron / Frank / Paul / Mick / Nick / Jon / Andrew / Pat without you
guys the car would still be a rolling project.
It was a great week end and to me it was what the VW community and sceen is all about.
I put the word out that i had a short amount of time to get things done and i needed help, and a great buch of VW owners and guys i have cruised with
and hung out with answered the call and gave up their free time over the week end to help get the big list of things the car needed doing, done.
So from Friday night to Sunday night the car went from rolling shell to driving and stopping under its own power, and first thing monday morning i was
able to put rego on the car.
So huge effort by all and a really fun weekend of beers, BBQ and a beetle.
Still need to sort out the interior and a few little things and i will post pics of that stuff over the next couple of weeks, but heres ome pics from
the week end.
And this is it on monday morning:
Anyway, thats about it for now will be fitting a AMR super charger in the next couple of weeks as well as getting the interior finished , but more
pictures on that to come.
Again, a HUGE thank you to everybody who pitched in and helped out.

I couldn't agree more Andrew, to me thats what the sceen should be all about.
Hi Tom, nope thats about the only pic of the before i have, it was a super straight, never hit, surface rust only 67, front guards were nackered that
was about it. The car was very clean and a good candidate for the resto.

Hi Guys,
Time for an update;
Here are some pics of the 65 Razor plus a in car video and a walk around video.
Some history on the car: It has 30645 miles orginal and documented, never hit and no rust anywhere, im not suggesting this is an orginal car it has
been freshened up, but i have bought it under the impression that the miles shown are rigy-dig and documented.
I am the fourth owner, it was bought and shipped to Australia in 1965 and sold by Ziems Great Western Garage in Katoomba, it was then sold to the
second owner in 1987 where it saw very little use, in 2002 it was bought by the third owner, a collector in the USA and it was shipped to the USA from
Sydney, it was stripped repainted and putback together over the next 12 years, it has done almost zero miles in it time in america, i am now the
fourth owner and as you can see its ready to come home to Australia. if i am able to finish off the jobs that are left in time i will have the car at
the nationals in Sydney later this year.
The car is being loadedtoday, into a container in Long Beach LA and making its way back to Australia due around the 20th of April.
