Where to get a half cut?

For those of you who have undergone the conversion where would be the best place to get a half cut from? Looking to get a EJ25 NA possibly forester. where did you get yours from?

Im in Brissy if that helps but if shipping was not too much would consider something a bit further away.

I got our Subaru engine and parts from a direct import Japanese car wrecker AUTOJap. They gave a 3 month warranty on the engine, and a new cambelt and water pump were fitted. I got the EJ22 engine absolutley complete as pulled out of the car, with flywheel, wiring loom, ECU, relays, igniter engine mounts and exhaust back to CAT. The whole lot $1100 delivered.

I would assume ALLJap in Brisbane would do similar work.

As beerboy said just look around for a whole car ( usually wagons ) and you will be suprised at what you'll pay .
Most of the cheap ones will be auto's as when the auto fails it is around a 4 k rebuild for the box and hence the cars are undrivable and cheap as and as low as $500 .
The other bonus of buying the hole car is all the left overs that you can sell off ,panels, wheels , tyres , interior etc

Don't worry....I've got plenty of remanufactured Subarugears 5 speed converted transmissions in stock now too. Cheap(ish).
