FS ACT 1776cc 85rwhp *** Sold Payment pending...

*********
I have Taken a Deposit for the engine so at this stage it is sold. if this status changes I will re list.

Hi all,
I was going to keep this engine and use it in my next project but I have changed my focus on that one, now it is taking up my engine stand and I want to build a hot 1385cc old speeder. This engine was origionally built by Rod Penrose for his own use, he sold it to me with less than 2500km's on it, I put prob another 7500km's on it over the next 4 years. I have very regulary changed the oil every 3-6months regardless of km's drives, always adjusted tappets, points etc and looked after it. I got the engine as a long block only and spared almost no expense in making it a runner. the list is as follows:

69mm counterwieghted crank
90.5 Mahle p&c's
We think it is a engle 110 cam
melling 30mm oil pump
ported heads With swivel feet adjusters
36mm dellorto carbs
009 Dizzy with 6500rpm rotor button (i have never hit the limiter btw)
Alternator conversion
GT40 coil
Lightened flywheel
Stage 2 p/p and gold clutch disc
Ceramic 3/8 exhaust with ceramic phat boy muff and extra tuck away muff (not ceramic) included)
heaps of dressy bits like finned alloy rocker covers, chrome alternator chrome backing plate, degree pullee 3/8" pulley bolt chrome fan bolt hidden wiring etc

Things the buyer will need to do, needs a new breast plate as current one is bent,
and I noticed the right hand dellorto is leaking fuel from the accelerator pump so would need a new gasket at the least.

Given all the above and the fact the engine owes me more than $7k in all the bits and bobs, I am asking...

$3500

If you are a low baller then please keep your balls to yourself.

Cheers

Oh and the claim of 85rwhp, that was from when the engine as list was in the back of my '66 beetle and on the Gas tune Dyno being tuned by Dave Elliot. He beleives flywheel HP to be well over 100hp and around the 110hp mark. How accurate that is is anybodies guess but he has been running that dyno for like 30 years and yes it did make 85hp at the wheels.

I will stop posting now..... possibly

Ian

Thanks mate I was aware of the adapter but as this engine runs a heavy duty oil pump when you hook up the type 3 cooling it will not clear no matter what you do with adapting the engine mount as there simply isnt enough room. I have returned it back to how it wa
S pictured when isn sold it to me.
