welding in decklid vents
Hi guys,I'm in the process of welding in vents from a later model onto my earlier deck lid but it seems the curve of the two are different..I can
bend the vents only so much as they have the lips on the inside that make me bend them only so much..anyway around this..or should I grind them flat
??
Thanks

Lay the vents on a bag of sand, and gently tap into shape with a rubber hammer.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

| lol Greg...any other way...should I just grind the lips down and it will be more flexible then,it is only a race car so no one will
be where the f@r+ are the vent lips gone
