Running boards for U.S. Bug

Hello everyone !

I have a '71 U.S. Super Beetle, and was wondering if anyone knew if the Aussie running boards are the same as the U.S. ones for that year....as I have to get new ones.

I'm asking, because I know when I bought new taillights, there were big differences, and didn't want to get the wrong ones....
