strenthening ring....... back of alternator

hi, does anyone know if the bit that goes at back of alternator or generator behind the plate that bolts to fan shroud, is the same size on all fan housings/generators /alternators. thanks greg

6 volt are different but 12 volt alt and gen are the same.
