WTB: Beetle flat front windscreen and blue slip info'
Hi everyone,
I'm after a flat front windscreen with a tinted band and new rubber to suit, with the groove for the chrome surround insert, for a 1972 Beetle.
If anyone has one in good condition or knows where I can buy a new one please let me know.
Also, can anyone recommend somebody in Sydney that I can take my bug to for a blue slip.
Cheers.

Hi
Firstly, although the windscreen looks flat its not..
it only goes in one way.. unlike early beetle windscreens which were a piece of flat glass..
Original windscreens are the safety glass type which shatter..
New windscreens are now made from laminated glass..
which crack and don't explode into a million pieces.. lol
Maybe someone on here who has one... original or laminated..
or Windscreens obrien or Koala glass should be able to get them in..
Some VW parts shops may stock them??
The windscreen rubbers are available from most VW parts Shops..
Many advertise in the VWA Magazine.. which is at newsagents now.
Buying the rubber from VW shops will be cheaper than from windscreen fitters..
You can get the windscreen rubbers in Plain rubber [no trim] or with grooves for the trim.. Many people fit the No Trim type as the
trim is difficult to fit for most people..
cheers
LEE
PS: Your windscreen fits from 1968 to 1976 Australian beetles
including the SUPERBUG.. but NOT L Beetle super [1303]
