Stearing Box

Hi Guys

Doe any one know it there was much change in stearing boxes from say 61 to 74 (type 1).

I noticed that the pitman arm is a bit longe on a later one (also takes the lager tie rod ends).

'63> are all the same (even type 3) but the pitman arm changes for the steering stop additions in '68 (ball joint)

Thanks Matt

Do the '62 and the 63 differ much?

The early steering box is a different design and uses a different pitman arm as the box output shaft diameter changed

Cheers

yes mate, interchangable if you keep the appropriate pitman arm, TRE's and make necessary mods for steering lock stops. The early box design is the stronger one.
