[FS-VIC] 1966 VW BUG PROJECT
Up for sale is this 1966 volkswagen bug project. My dad and I planned to fix this up, but he got sick and is no longer with us.
This car needs to be sold. The floorpan has been painted with POR-15 paint and has had a general tidy up, however there was a small leak in the roof
of the tent that was covering it, so it accumulated a little bit of water. The shell has been sanded back, undercoated and sprayed in a custom brown
colour with a clear over the top. There were plans to dump this bad boy, throw on some whitewalls and make it loud. I no longer have the time or
space for it.
The paint is in good condition and all the panels and doors are included in the sale.
Included in the sale are $1500 worth of parts. Ranging from brake kits, to window and body seals. There are window winder mechanisms, empi shifters,
alternator, just to name a few. In fact, there is realistically more like $1600 worth of parts, not including the money spent on paint.
The engine has been taken apart, and had seals replaced. It is a 1300 original engine, but has had a little bit of cosmetic work done to it. It did
start before the pull apart and put back together, but I dont have the mechanical skill to get it working. It has a new starter motor in it also.
It also comes with a gearbox. Im unsure of the condition of the actual box, but it has had a few seals replaced.
This was a father/son project which was never finished. It obviously does not come with RWC and does not have registration on the vehicle.
Price $3000 neg. Not looking for swaps, just need to make space. Please come and inspect. The photos are minimal but I'm happy to show you in person.
There are a few spares included in the price. A gear box in questionable condition and some other bits and pieces. Included are also a set of seats
which will need to be reupholstered at some point.
Would suit another father/son team, or someone with some mechanical knowledge, time and space. I have none of those things.
