Early oval- engine bay deadener & front boot liner

Hi All,

I am looking for the reproduction items for my '54 oval:

1. Engine bay deadener (original tatty item caught on fire whilst body work was being done)!
2. Cardboard front boot liner

I am wanting to try to source reproductions of the original supplied items. Any leads??

Cheers

Craig

certainly! Chris from vw bugs in the states sells the engine bay deadener

http://www.classicvwbugs.com/shop-for-dvds/classic-vintage-vw-volkswagen-beet...

and the best i can find for an oval is a 56 front mat from ww

http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=113863509B

i have a 54 so i can cross reference if it is correct enough over the weekend if you like?

cool im a while off getting to my oval. if you beat me to the mark post a pic it would be cool to see those parts fitted. Chris has a video showing how to fit the engine bay deadener too if that helps when it comes time.

Hey,

Thanks for the thought anyway!

I have ended up painting the rear firewall and using dynamat inside under the carpet as I could't find this product. I may decide in the end to purchase some but will wait and see.

Cheers
